'Something Very Pure' About Young Boy's Love Of Firefighters: SCC

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — "In this complicated world, there is just something very pure about a 3.5 year old boy and his genuine love for firefighters."

Those are the words of a father, who snapped this photo of his young son as they were cruising out in the community.

On Thursday, the father and son stopped by the offices of the Central Fire Protection District of Santa Cruz County to give the crew a large-format print of the photo that was taken June 29. The pic won an honorable mention at the Santa Cruz County Fair and got an amazing response from the CFPD.
