Soquel DUI Suspect Arrested In Connection To Collision
A woman was arrested Friday following a collision in Soquel that sent a motorcyclist to the hospital with major injuries.
SOQUEL, CA — A woman was arrested Friday following a collision in Soquel that sent a motorcyclist to the hospital with major injuries.
Karen Veninga-Zaricor, 31,of Soquel, was arrested on suspicion of felony DUI, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision occurred at 12:08 p.m. Friday on North Rodeo Gulch Road, south of Rodeo Ridge Road.

Veninga-Zaricor was driving a 2013 Audi A3 north on North Rodeo Gulch Road when the vehicle crossed into the southbound lane and struck a motorcyclist head-on, according to the CHP.
The motorcyclist, a 55-year-old man from Soquel, was airlifted to an area hospital with major injuries. Veninga-Zaricor was not injured in the collision.
