Toy, Blood Drives Hosted By Central Fire Protection District
New and unwrapped toys can be donated Dec. 7 and Dec. 8 at the Capitola Mall, and blood can be donated Dec. 14 at the Live Oak Fire Station.
SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — The Central Fire Protection District of Santa Cruz County will host blood and toy drives in the coming weeks with the American Red Cross and Salvation Army, respectively.
Bring unwrapped, new toys for children to the Capitola Mall (1855 41st Ave.), near the food court, on Saturday, Dec. 7 from noon to 8 p.m. Toys can be dropped off on Sunday, Dec. 8 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Capitola Police Department and Aptos/La Selva Fire Protection Districts will also co-host the toy drive.
Blood can be donated at the Live Oak Fire Station (930 17th Ave.) on Saturday, Dec. 14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. as part of the Red Cross Battle of the Badges blood drive. Police and fire departments compete to recruit the most donors. Free t-shirts will be given to donors.
