Another Heat Advisory Issued For Carlsbad Amid Heat Wave
Hot weather will continue Wednesday throughout San Diego County amid a heat wave that will last through Thursday, forecasters said.
CARLSBAD, CA — The National Weather Service issued a heat advisory Wednesday for parts of San Diego County as a heat wave continues to scorch the region. The heat advisory will be in effect from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the coastal and valley areas of the county, including Carlsbad.
The heat wave will last through Thursday, according to the NWS. A Pacific trough is expected to move into the region Friday and bring cooler weather this weekend.
"Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke," forecasters advised.

"Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. When possible reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or evening."
The NWS urged residents to stay out of the sun, drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, and check on relatives and neighbors. Forecasters also reminded residents that young children and pets should be never be left unattended in vehicles.

High temperatures Wednesday are forecast to reach 88 degrees near the coast, 97 inland, 99 in the western valleys, 91 in the mountains and 103 in the deserts, according to the NWS. Highs in the deserts are forecast to reach 108 on Thursday, while temperatures are expected to be in the low- to mid-80s in the coastal areas and the high-80s to mid-90s in the western valleys.
High temperature records were set Tuesday in El Cajon, Chula Vista and at the Oceanside harbor, while Escondido and San Diego tied previous records.
