Carlsbad Announces 2017 Cinema Series
Admission is free. Seating is first come, first served.

CARLSBAD, CA – The city of Carlsbad has announced the lineup for this year’s Cinema Series.
The program, which is made possible in part by the Carlsbad Library and Arts Foundation’s Robert H. Gartner Cultural Endowment Fund, takes place on Saturdays, with a pre-cinema chat led by a film expert, followed by the film screening and post show discussion. All screenings will be held at the Ruby G. Schulman Auditorium at the Carlsbad City Library, located at 1775 Dove Lane.
This year’s lineup includes “Trumbo” on Jan. 21, “Hell or High Water” on March 18, “The Birth of a Nation” on May 20, and “Cuba’s Secret Side” on July 15. The pre-cinema chat will begin at 1:30 p.m., with the screenings at 2 p.m.
