The Carlsbad High School Vocal Music Program presents "A Holly Jolly Holiday Show"
Singing, dancing, and festive fun for the whole family! December 3, 4, and 5, 2015, at the Carlsbad Cultural Arts Center.
Students from Carlsbad High School’s award-winning vocal music program will ring in the holidays with their first concert of the year on December 3rd, 4th, and 5th. All four choirs, led by Director Jessie Bullock, will perform seasonal favorites in a variety of styles from complex a capella pieces to convivial choreographed carols. Student-created and directed numbers will also be featured. Adding to the merriment, “Sound Sensations” from Calavera Hills Middle School will perform a medley of songs from Elf The Musical. It will be an evening of great music and holiday fun for everyone!
Shows begin at 7pm at the Carlsbad Cultural Arts Center. Reserved seating tickets are $15 on Thursday and Friday, and $20 on Saturday. Students get a $5 discount for tickets purchased at the box office with student ID. Proceeds benefit all CHS choirs and help offset the costs of competition fees, vocal clinicians, costumes, and so much more. Tickets are on sale now at www.itsmyseat.com/chsholiday through December 2nd, or at the CCAC box office one hour prior to each show.
The Carlsbad High School Vocal Music Program consists of four choirs: Chamber Singers (elite mixed choir), Sound Express (advanced mixed show choir), Encore (advanced women’s show choir) and Lancer Choir (beginning mixed choir). There are over 130 students between the ages of 14 – 18 who benefit from this program. The CHS Vocal Music Program is one of the few remaining programs in all of San Diego County and is proud to bring awareness, appreciation, and expression of the arts to the local community.
