Carlsbad School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Carlsbad is August 29. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Carlsbad Unified School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 1/26: No School for Students (Semester Break)

February

• 2/16: No School (Lincoln's Birthday)
• 2/19: No School (Presidents' Day)

March

• 3/9: SCHS No School for Students (Trimester Break Day)

April

• 4/2 - 4/6: No School (Spring Break)

May

• 5/28: No School (Memorial Day)

June

• 6/14: Last day for Students
• 6/15: Last day for Teachers
