Legoland announced the park's new features for its 20th anniversary celebration in 2019, including free birthday admission for children.

CARLSBAD, CA – Legoland Thursday announced the park's new features for its 20th anniversary celebration in 2019, including free birthday admission for children 12 and under.

The theme park will hold a number of events throughout the year, starting with "The Lego Movie" Days on Feb. 16-17 and 23-24 to celebrate the premiere of "The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part," which releases Feb. 8. "The Lego Movie" Days event will feature photo opportunities with the movie's cast of characters, a scavenger hunt and a yet-to-be-announced new park attraction.

"Having a chance to reflect on the last 20 years ahead of next year's birthday celebration, it's incredible to think about all we've accomplished during that time and the amount of kids we positively impacted through their experiences at the Resort," Legoland General Manager Peter Ronchetti said. "I'm excited to see what new adventures we take our guests on in the future as there are no creative boundaries holding us back in the Lego universe."
