Club Honors Local Volunteer
Rob Holzman and La Costa 35 Athletic Club Organize Charity Poker Tournament

2014 marked the fourth year that Rob Holzman and members of the La Costa 35 Athletic Club (LC35) organized a charity poker tournament to benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Carlsbad. The Club decided to repay the favor, and Rob was recently honored as their “Volunteer of the Year” at the North County Philanthropy Council’s annual Volunteer Appreciation luncheon.
“It is a privilege to lead and collaborate with dedicated volunteers from both La Costa 35 Athletic Club and the amazing Boys & Girls Clubs of Carlsbad to create a fundraising event that has raised over $85,000 to date,” said Rob. “Working with this outstanding organization so committed to helping families in our community is its own reward, and we are pleased to be able to make a contribution towards their annual $2 million budget.”
The poker tournament, held on November 8, boasted a sold-out crowd of 160 players.
