CUSD 2021 Student Standout Award Winners Announced

The Greater San Dieguito ACSA Charter is proud to celebrate the recipients of the 2021 Student Standout Awards.

Every year, each of the elementary, middle, and high schools in the Greater San Dieguito ACSA Charter select a Student Standout Award recipient based on the following categories:

• The arts: an award for a student with exceptional imagination and skill in painting, drawing, music, dance, drama, or writing.
• Community service: an award for a student who stands out in their willingness and ability to help others.
• Humanities: an award for a student with a special appreciation of, and sensitivity to, literature, history, current events or other cultures.
• Courage: an award for a student who has faced a great challenge with extraordinary bravery, endurance, and/or effort.
• Fellowship: an award for a student who inspires cooperation and group effort among their peers or people of other ages.
• Science: an award for a student whose curiosity has led to outstanding achievement in the exploration and discovery of his/her environment

The Student Standout Award winners are recognized at an annual event each year in the spring. This year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Student Standout Award ceremony was held virtually. A video highlighting the winners from each of our schools can be found here: https://youtu.be/utXl0i9vcPE

The Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) is the largest umbrella association for school leaders in the United States, serving more than 17,000 California educators. ACSA is divided into regions; Region 18 encompasses all of San Diego County and Imperial County.

The Greater San Dieguito ACSA Charter is made up of seven school districts in north coastal San Diego County: Cardiff, Carlsbad Unified, Del Mar, Encinitas, Solana Beach, Rancho Santa Fe, and San Dieguito Union High School District.
