Golf Tournament Supports Carlsbad High Choral Students
Craft Beers, Food, and Fun at the CHS Choral Boosters' 4th Annual Golf Tournament, Sept. 20, at The Crossings at Carlsbad.
The CHS Choral Boosters’ 4th Annual Golf Tournament is the most important fundraiser of the season for the students in Carlsbad High School’s award-winning vocal music program.
This four-player scramble begins at 1 p.m. on the championship course at The Crossings at Carlsbad. Golfers will enjoy craft beers, delicious food, and fabulous prizes at this fun-filled event.
BMW of Encinitas has donated a two-year lease of a brand new 2016 BMW to the player who gets a hole-in-one! Golfers and non-golfers alike have a chance to win up to $1,500 in cash at this year’s Helicopter Golf Ball Drop when they purchase a $20 golf ball.

Winners of this tournament will also be entered into the most prestigious amateur golf tournament in the county – The Randy Jones Invitational.
Entry fee includes green fees, cart fee, range balls, lunch provided by Jersey Mike’s, and dinner by a local chef. The Belching Beaver Brewery, Sage Beverages, and Pizza Port will provide complimentary craft beers and adult beverages.

All participants will receive a swag bag and a free raffle ticket for great prizes. There’s also a silent auction for items such as Taylor Made golf bags, sailing lessons, and more.
This event raises funds for costumes, choreographers, vocal clinicians, competition fees and so many other necessities that enable the 130 choral students to hone their skills and share outstanding vocal performances with the community.
The goal this year is to raise $50,000. Thanks to sponsors such as Via Sat, Jerry Chen Photography, and Cox Communications, this goal could become a reality, but more help is needed. Businesses and individuals can support this program through sponsorship opportunities, in-kind donations, raffle items, purchasing a $20 golf ball for a chance to win $1,500, or getting a golf foursome together to play the links on September 20th.
