La Costa Glen Seniors Play Santa for Camp Pendleton Families
Residents at the La Costa Glen Carlsbad retirement community donated toys, $20,000 to help Marine families at Christmas.
The residents of La Costa Glen have wrapped up their annual toy drive for the children of deployed Marines and Wounded Warriors from Camp Pendleton. This year, the residents from the retirement community in Carlsbad filled 10 large boxes with toys, games, dolls and other favorites and donated more than $20,000 to make sure Camp Pendleton children have a happy holiday. The drive is held each year in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Camp Pendleton, which distributes the toys and uses the cash donations to buy gifts on the children’s personal “wish list.”
