Mother's Day On Carlsbad Lagoon: Photo Of The Day

CARLSBAD, CA — Patch reader Norma van der Linden submitted this photo of her family on Mother's Day at the Carlsbad Lagoon. The picture is of Norma, as well as her husband, Christopher van Linden, and children Samantha and Dylon.

"I'm a (stay-at-home mom) and full-time student, and I miss out on a lot of fun stuff with my husband and kids," said Norma, who is working to change careers to become a certified occupational therapy assistant.

"My wish for Mother's Day was to go to the lagoon with my family. This made my day and was absolutely priceless. No gift could top this special morning and it filled my heart with love and joy."
