Multi-Vehicle Crash Prompts Sig-Alert In North County
The CHP issued a Sig-alert at 8:40 a.m.

CARLSBAD, CA – A multi-vehicle crash backed up traffic and prompted a Sig-alert Tuesday morning in North County. The collision happened on southbound Interstate 5, south of Poinsettia Lane in Carlsbad, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash was first reported at 8:12 a.m., according to the CHP. Callers reported that there were three vehicles in the center divider and another on the right-hand shoulder.
Two southbound I-5 lanes in the area were blocked, according to Caltrans.
