"A Night with the Stars on Broadway" at Carlsbad High
The program is set for Feb. 10 and11 at the Carlsbad Cultural Arts Center. Silent Auction at 6 p.m.; Benefit Concert at 7 p.m.
Carlsbad High School’s award-winning choirs will bring Broadway to Carlsbad at the annual Night with the Stars benefit concert and silent auction.
The festivities begin at 6 p.m. with pre-show performances and a viewing of the many silent auction items.
The concert begins at 7 p.m. with a medley of songs from “West Side Story” and an all-choir selection from “The Music Man.”

A Night with the Stars also marks the premier of the students’ show choir sets and festival pieces that will be performed in competitions throughout Southern California in the coming months.
The evening will include performances from all four CHS choirs: Chamber Singers (advanced mixed choir), Sound Express (advanced mixed show choir), Encore (advanced women’s show choir), and Lancer Choir (beginning mixed choir) as well as selected solo and small group acts. A Night with the Stars is on Wednesday and Thursday, Feb.10 & 11, at the Carlsbad Cultural Arts Center.

Special guest performances by Valley Middle School’s “Showstoppers” on Wednesday, February 10, and Carlsbad High School’s advance jazz band “Jazz One” on Thursday, February 11.
Reserved seating tickets are $15 online now at www.itsmyseat.com/nwts through 2/9/16.
Student and faculty tickets are $7 with ID at the box office only. Tickets will be available at the Carlsbad Cultural Arts Center box office one hour prior to each show, subject to availability.
Proceeds from this concert benefit all four choirs and help offset the costs of sheet music, competition fees, vocal clinicians, costumes, choreographers, and so much more.
The CHS Vocal Music Program is one of the few remaining programs in all of San Diego County and strives to promote awareness, appreciation, and expression of the arts in our community.
In addition to an excellent evening of entertainment, A Night with the Stars is a way for students and the community to help keep this exceptional program going strong.
