Possible Mountain Lion Sighted in Carlsbad, Officials Investigate

An investigation is underway regarding a possible mountain lion sighting in Carlsbad, according to a 10News report. 

Carlsbad police official told the news station that a resident reported seeing what they thought was a mountain lion in a brushy area in the 2800 block of Poinsettia Lane on Monday. However, no other calls were received. 

The citizen said the animal was leaving the area. 

Police said Fish and Game officials were notified as a precaution and will continue to search the area and neighborhood.
