Preliminary Hearing Scheduled for Carlsbad Woman Accused of Murder

A Dec. 11 preliminary hearing has been confirmed Tuesday for a Carlsbad mother accused of murder.
Julie Elizabeth Harper, a mother of three, is accused in the shooting death of her schoolteacher husband, Jason Harper, in the couple's home.
Jason Harper, 39, was found dead on Aug. 7 by patrol officers conducting a welfare check. Julie Harper surrendered to detectives at her father's Scripps Ranch home about 16 hours after the body was found.
