Spring Cocktail: Celebrate Season With Lavender Blossom Fizz
A Westin Carlsbad mixologist shared his recipe for this delectable drink, along with an alcohol-free "mocktail" dubbed "The Bloom."

CARLSBAD, CA –As spring 2019 gets underway, expert mixologist Stephen George at the Westin Carlsbad Resort & Spa’s 20|Twenty restaurant concocted two refreshing drinks, a "Lavender Blossom Fizz" and a spirit-free "The Bloom" -- and Patch has scored the recipes!
The "Lavender Blossom Fizz" features a choice of Venom Vodka or VeeV Acai, lemon juice, lavender simple syrup, a spritz of orange blossom water and is garnished with edible flowers and a lemon twist.
"The Bloom" features lemon juice, lavender-infused syrup, club soda and edible-flower garnish for a buzz-free refresher.

Lavender Blossom Fizz
- 1 ½ oz: Venom Vodka (Neutral Spirit), or VeeV Acai Spirit
- ½ oz Fresh Lemon Juice
- ¾ oz Lavender-infused Simple Syrup
Shake and strain into coupe glass. Top with splash of sparkling wine and a spritz of orange -blossom water. Garnish with edible flowers and a lemon twist
The Bloom
- 1.5 oz Lemon Juice
- 1 oz Lavender infused Syrup
Shake and pour with ice. Top with club soda. Garnish with half lemon wheel and edible flowers.
The lavender infused syrup recipe can also be made at home. Steep a generous amount of (1/2
cup) lavender in boiling water (1 cup), then add and stir in sugar (1 cup).
