Time FORE Fun! Carlsbad High School Vocal Music’s 5th Annual Golf Tournament
Join us at The Crossing at Carlsbad this Sunday, October 2, 2016, and support the award-winning choral students.
The CHS Vocal Music Department’s 5th Annual Golf Tournament has already established a reputation for one of the most fun and best-organized tournaments in Carlsbad. It is also the most important fundraiser for the over 100 students in Carlsbad High School’s award-winning vocal music program. The day begins at the championship course at The Crossings at Carlsbad with a pre-game putting contest, the infamous helicopter golf ball drop, followed by the four-player scramble with a shot-gun start at 1pm.
Golfers will enjoy craft beers throughout the course, delicious food, and fabulous prizes at this fun-filled event. Golfers and non-golfers alike have a chance to win up to $1,000 cash at this year’s Helicopter Golf Ball Drop when they purchase a $20 golf ball. The golfer who makes a hole-in-one on the links could win $10,000. The winning foursome in this tournament qualifies to be entered into the most prestigious amateur golf tournament in the county – The Randy Jones Invitational.
Entry fee includes green fees, cart fee, range balls, lunch provided by Jersey Mike’s, and dinner in The Crossing’s dining room. Sage Beverages, Belching Beaver Brewery, Sierra Nevada, and Pizza Port will provide complimentary craft beers throughout the course. All participants will receive a swag bag and a free raffle ticket for great prizes. There’s also a silent auction for items such as golf bags, sailing lessons, and more. The tournament concludes with dinner in the dining room, a wine pull, and a vocal performance by the talented choral students.

Businesses and individuals can support this program through sponsorship opportunities, in-kind donations, raffle items, purchasing a $20 golf ball for the helicopter ball drop, or getting a golf foursome together to play the links.
