Volunteers Needed for Zero Waste Cleanup Event in Carlsbad

Local nonprofit hosting December zero waste beach cleanup at Cannon Park.

Help support San Diego’s efforts to move toward a goal of zero waste by volunteering at I Love A Clean San Diego’s Zero Waste Cleanup! Volunteers will meet at Cannon Park in Carlsbad on Saturday, Dec. 6 and clean up Carlsbad State Beach from 10 a.m. to noon.

This cleanup event will help us to kick off our new Zero Waste Cleanup option through our Adopt-A-Beach program — you can now plan your own zero waste event on your own.

Volunteers should bring their own reusable supplies to support our zero waste efforts: buckets for litter, gardening gloves, and a reusable water bottle. We’ll have some extra supplies on site in case you don’t have your own.

Volunteers of all ages are welcome, though minors under the age of 18 require a parent or guardian signature on their waiver forms. Service forms will be available at the end of the event, and our staff can sign off on paperwork to verify volunteer hours. For more information, contact Lexi Ambrogi at lambrogi@cleansd.org or 619-704-2778.
