World-Renowned Photographer Henry Diltz to Host "Strike a Pose" Art Fundraiser to Benefit Fresh Start Surgical Gifts

World-renowned music photographer Henry Dlitz has partnered with San Diego nonprofit Fresh Start Surgical Gifts to host the Strike a Pose Art Fundraiser on Saturday, May 14, 2016 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Morrison Hotel Gallery, 6351 Corte Del Abeto, Carlsbad, CA, 92011.

Music Photographer Henry Diltz, a 2015 Lucie Award Honoree in Music Achievement and Morrison Hotel Gallery Founding Partner, will be available to sign purchased prints with a portion of the proceeds benefitting Fresh Start Surgical Gifts.

“Our partnership with Morrison Hotel Gallery helps share Fresh Start’s mission through the gift of music and art,” said Fresh Start Director of Development Christina Curtin. “We are thankful for community members who help further our mission in transforming the lives of children with physical deformities.”

Guests attending the Strike a Pose Art Fundraiser are invited to walk through photography history spanning several generations including contemporary music artists and iconic sports photographs.The Morrison Hotel Gallery represents over 100 fine music photographers and their archives, and features a vast catalog of photography encompassing jazz, blues and rock imagery.

“During one of Fresh Start’s Surgery Weekend, I witnessed firsthand the gift of hope Fresh Start gives children who may not have believed there was any,” said Morrison Hotel Gallery West Coast Office Director Suzie Bouche.

The “Strike a Pose” Art Fundraiser will feature a cocktail reception and a curated collection of music photography. Admission tickets and sponsorship opportunities are available.
