HAYWARD, CA – A recent Tip-A-Cop fundraiser held at Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar in Hayward raised more than $2,400 for Special Olympics of Northern California, according to operators.
Hayward Police Department officers volunteered as servers at the May 17 event at the Southland Drive restaurant, and their "tips" -- totaling $2,424 -- went directly to the Special Olympics fund.
