UPDATE: Car Crashes Into Castro Valley Building

At least one person was injured when a vehicle crashed into a building this morning in Castro Valley. The crash was reported shortly after 7 a.m. at Primary Eyecare Optometics, located at 2687 Castro Valley Blvd.

While responding, officers learned a vehicle had crashed into the building and somehow flipped over, causing it to land on its roof, CHP officials said. One person was trapped inside the vehicle. Once officers were able to extract the victim from inside the vehicle, emergency crews transported the victim to Eden Medical Center with minor injuries, according to CHP.

Pacific Gas and Electric officials responded to the scene as well, CHP officials said.
