Castro Valley Home Damaged By Fire
No injuries were reported, but two people were displaced.

CASTRO VALLEY, CA — A Castro Valley home was severely damaged by a fire Monday night. There were no injuries.
The fire was reported around 10 p.m. at a tri-level home on Dubin Court and Sydney Way.
According to a social media post from the Alameda County Fire Department, the home is on a descending hillside, which created added challenges for crews. "The fire consumed a bottom level, backyard porch area and extended up through the roof."

Sydney Way was temporarily closed between Lake Chabot Road and Carlton Road because of firefighting equipment.
The Red Cross responded to help two adults displaced by the flames.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
