Castro Valley Man Dies In Peninsula Crash

A GoFundMe account​ has been created to raise money for his family

CASTRO VALLEY, CA — An online fundraiser is underway for the family of a Castro Valley man who died in a car accident on the Peninsula over the weekend.

The San Mateo County coroner's office says that 22-year-old Anthony Paguaga died in the crash.
It happened around 1 a.m. Saturday on eastbound Highway 92 at the El Camino Real connector, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A GoFundMe account had raised more than $9,400 as of Tuesday morning. The appeal described Paguaga as a "beloved son, brother, cousin."

Former classmate Keiana Banks described him as "chill and laidback... May he rest in peace."

Barbara Cardenas said, "Anthony was a good friend and coworker. He would always have a smile on his face and I would always crack jokes with him . I hope he is in a better place and he will be forever missed. Rest in peace Anthony."
