CASTRO VALLEY, CA — From the school board to the White House, Tuesday’s election is crucial. Voters have marked their ballots for their chosen leaders, on tax measures, and proposals that will shape California for generations to come.

Alameda County had a surplus of volunteers for this election. "We had 4,800 people volunteer for the four days; so we have plenty of volunteers," said Tim Dupuis, Alameda County's registrar of voters.
