Chabot Wrestler Carrasco Wins Conference Title

Chabot’s Lazaro Carrasco was the host Gladiators’ lone champion at the Coast Conference Wrestling tournament on Saturday, Nov. 23.

Carrasco defeated Jordan Monroe by fall in 4:57 in the championship match in the 197-pound weight class.

Chabot had four other placers, including Christopher Do, third at 133; Evan Rios, fourth at 141; Eddy Morales, fourth at 165; and Henry Espina, fourth at 285.

Chabot will next compete in the Northern California Regional tournament on Dec. 7 at San Joaquin Delta in Stockton, where the top six in each weight class will qualify for the CCCAA State Wrestling Championships at Fresno City, Dec. 12 – 14.
