Crow Canyon Road Closure Expands; Norris Canyon Road Also Closed

Flooding has become more extensive, forcing the closures.

CASTRO VALLEY, CA — Flooding on Crow Canyon Road has gotten worse, according to Alameda County. As a result, the closure has expanded.

The road is now closed to all traffic between Bollinger Canyon Road in San Ramon, and Coldwater Creek Road in Castro Valley.

In addition, Norris Canyon Road has also been closed between Crow Canyon Road in Castro Valley, and Bollinger Canyon Road in San Ramon.

There is no estimate of when the roads will reopen. The county warns the roads "will remain closed until the flooding has subsided, and the roadway is deemed safe for travel. Continued rain will delay reopening of the road."

An alternate plan for the morning commute is recommended.
