CVSan: Another Successful Textile Collection Week!

A grand total of 19,420 pounds of textiles was collected and diverted from the landfill!

Castro Valley Sanitary District’s (CVSan’s) most recent Textile Collection Week was another great success! Between June 7th – 11th, CVSan residents set out bagged textiles at the curb for collection by Alameda County Industries (ACI) on their regular collection day. A grand total of 19,420 pounds of textiles was collected and diverted from the landfill! Great job to the CVSan community for responsibly discarding your textiles, which will be distributed for resale and recycling.

The next Textile Collection Week takes place on your collection day, the week of October 4th – 8th, 2021. Visit cvsan.org/Textiles for more information.
