Finally! Palomares Road Reopens
Our winter storms took a huge toll on the road. It's been closed for a month as workers cleaned-up and fixed-up the road.

CASTRO VALLEY, CA — One month after Palomares Road was closed because of suspended boulders over the roadway and other storm hazards, the road is finally open, the Alameda County Public Works Agency announced Thursday.
Crews have finished emergency repairs including sinkholes and culvert failures, storm debris cleanup, and slope stabilization at mile marker 8.73.
Traffic controls have been installed at mile marker 8.73, where traffic is down to one lane. All roadway users - drivers, bicyclists and hikers - are advised to exercise caution in this area.
