Watch Firefighters Rescue Seagull Snagged In Kite String
Alameda County firefighters were called to pull the bird from high in a tree.
CASTRO VALLEY, CA — It took a team of firefighters, a ladder truck, and some fancy equipment, but a seagull that may have been doomed when it was ensnared in kite string high in a tree is now flying free.
The rescue happened in Castro Valley last week and drew a small but enthusiastic crowd.
Watch below as the firefighters grab hold of the bird, lower it to the ground, and free it from the string.
