Alameda County firefighters are battling a grass fire near the Fairmont Drive and Lake Chabot Road in Castro Valley, according to PulsePoint.
The fire was reported shortly after 2:30 p.m. near the 2700 block of Pineridge Road, according to the emergency alert mobile app. No injuries have been reported and no structures are threatened at this time.
The Alameda County Fire Department also sent out a note on Twitter that crews are on scene. As of 3 p.m., the fire had not yet been controlled.
"Yes, crews on scene & enroute RT @DinsmoreDesk @AlamedaCoFire has a working grass fire near Fairmont Ridge in Castro Valley. Crews on scene," tweeted the Alameda County Fire Department.
