Update: All Lanes and On-Ramps Re-Opened on S. Bound I-880 in Hayward After Grass Fire
All lanes reopened shortly after 1:00 p.m. according to the CHP.

All lanes and on-ramps have reopened on southbound Interstate Highway 880 in Hayward this afternoon following grass fires that snarled traffic, California Highway Patrol officials said.
The three right and center southbound Highway 880 lanes were blocked south of Tennyson Road as of a result of the fires, which were reported shortly after 11 a.m., according to the CHP.
The Tennyson Road on-ramp was also closed and drivers were advised to avoid the area during the incident because of heavy traffic.
The lanes reopened shortly after 1 p.m., CHP officials said.

Hayward Fire Department spokesman Capt. Don Nichelson said there were three spot fires stretching from Tennyson Road to Industrial Boulevard that burned about an acre.No structures were threatened and no injuries were reported. The fires were under control by about 11:50 a.m., but fire crews remained in the area for a while checking for hot spots, Nichelson said.
