Hayward Restaurant Closes Permanently

HAYWARD, CA — A Hayward restaurant that specialized in Southern comfort food, Playt, has closed permanently, according to a published report.

Playt served hot wings, gumbo, grits and other goodies that are not typical in California cuisine.

Berkeleyside reports that "a sign recently appeared on the restaurant’s door that suggested the spot might not reopen and thanked customers for their years of support."
