New Principal Announced For Chabot Elementary School
Dr. Delnaz Hosseini was selected by the Castro Valley Unified School District Board of Education to serve as principal.

At tonight’s Board Meeting, the Castro Valley Unified School District Board of Education took action to select Dr. Delnaz Hosseini for the position of Principal of Chabot Elementary.

Dr. Hosseini is replacing Ms. Sarah Winding who is resigning and moving out of the area at the end of this academic year.
Dr. Hosseini has been a teacher and Intervention Specialist at Chabot Elementary since 2018, and this summer, she will serve as the Principal of Chabot Summer School.

Prior to joining the Castro Valley Unified School District, Dr. Hosseini was a teacher for fourteen years in the Oak Grove School District in Santa Clara County, a mentor and a coach, and involved in curriculum development.
In 2018, Dr. Hosseini completed her Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership at San Jose State University. She also completed her Bachelor Degree in Natural Science, Multiple Subject Credential and Masters Degree in Educational Leadership at San Jose State University as well as her ACSA Principals Academy.
“We welcome Dr. Hosseini to our administrative team as Chabot Elementary School’s Principal, where in her new role she will continue her great work with staff and families to support students," Superintendent Ahmadi said.
