Online Grocer Expands To Castro Valley

The online grocer's expansion to Alameda and Contra Costa counties doubles its Bay Area reach.

CASTRO VALLEY, CA — A Peninsula-based online grocer is doubling its Bay Area coverage with expansion to Alameda and Contra Costa counties, including Castro Valley, Hayward, and surrounding communities.

Farmstead announced Thursday it has added 32 new cities and towns to its delivery area from San Francisco Bay to Walnut Creek and southwards down to Pleasanton and Livermore. Its San Jose area coverage now extends to South San Jose and Los Gatos.

Farmstead originally served San Francisco only.
