Roadway Flooding: Oakland, San Francisco, San Jose, North Bay
Numerous accidents have been reported, according to the California Highway Patrol.

BAY AREA — As predicted, an atmospheric river of moisture moved into the Bay Area bringing heavy rain and reports of flooding on roadways.
According to the CHP log, there is currently flooding in multiple locations in Oakland, San Jose, San Francisco and the North Bay. The Great Highway in San Francisco is shut down with no estimate of when it will reopen. There are also closures in the North Bay.
There have been numerous accidents including a 5-vehicle wreck on Highway 24 in Lamorinda, an overturned vehicle on a connector ramp in San Jose, and a 4-vehicle crash on I-880 in San Leandro.

The CHP recommends that drivers allow extra room between vehicles in these conditions, slow to an appropriate speed, use your lights and windshield wipers, and leave early to allow yourself more time.
