Sig-Alert Cleared On I-580 In Castro Valley
The tow truck sent to pick up the motorcycle was stuck in traffic, delaying the cleanup.

CASTRO VALLEY, CA — The California Highway Patrol has cancelled a sig-alert for eastbound Interstate highway 580, prompted by an injury crash involving a motorcycle. No other vehicles were involved. The crash happened at the 580-238 interchange.
The two left lanes were blocked for more than 30 minutes. Then, just the far left lane was blocked off. Unfortunately, the tow truck was stuck in traffic and took a long time to get to the crash scene.
The crash was first reported at 4:17 p.m. and finally cleared at 5:40.

Traffic was stop-and-go on I-238 all the way to I-880, while I-580 was stop-and-go from 164th Avenue to the crash site.
