Spring Recycles Day 2021 a Success

During the six-hour event, 1,025 CVSan residents and businesses attended.

Castro Valley Sanitary District (CVSan) presented its 19th Recycles Day and Compost Give-Away event on April 24, 2021, at Canyon Middle School. During the six-hour event, 1,025 CVSan residents and businesses showed their spirit as responsible consumers by dropping off items and/or picking up compost.

The CVSan community recycled 6,800 pounds of textiles, 26,000 pounds of sensitive documents, and 28,334 pounds of e-waste! Additionally, 3,300 bags of compost were distributed to participants.

CVSan thanks all its residents, businesses, and sponsors for helping to make this Recycles Day event a success!
