State Senator Ellen Corbett Among Local Officials Invited to Public Forum

Representatives and residents from Castro Valley, Hayward, San Leandro and San Lorenzo are invited to Hayward City Hall Friday, April 19 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

 

Elected officials representing Castro Valley, Hayward, San Leandro and San Lorenzo have been invited to a "Meet Your Elected Officials" forum on Friday, April 19 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Hayward City Hall Chambers.

Elected Officials from all levels of government have been invited:  congressional, state senate and assembly districts, county supervisors, city councils, school boards, community college board, and a multitude of special districts.

A representative from each board has been asked to present their board’s greatest accomplishment in 2012 and a major goal for 2013.

Elected officials will be available to answer questions from their constituents after the presentations.

In addition, the League will be honoring State Senate Majority Leader Ellen Corbett for her long years of service as an assemblywoman and senator. Her senate term will be ending in 2014.

She is credited for providing valuable assistance in  the effort to get the funding to build the new Castro Valley Library.

 The public is welcome to meet their elected representatives during an informal  reception which begins at 5:30 p.m., followed by the program at 6:15 p.m.   RSVPs are appreciated to lwvea@aol.com or Suzanne Barba at 510-538-9678.
