Halftime Lineup

At halftime, Coldplay is the headline act. Variety reports that Beyonce, Bruno Mars, Adele, Rihanna and Taylor Swift will also make appearances.

The NFL has good reason to provide the world’s best entertainment. Last year’s Super Bowl was the most watch TV show in U.S. history. In fact, the Top 5 most watched shows are all Super Bowls:

  1. 114.4 Million – Super Bowl XLIX, NBC (Feb. 2015)
  2. 112.2 Million – Super Bowl XLVIII, FOX (Feb. 2014)
  3. 111.3 Million – Super Bowl XLVI, NBC (Feb. 2012)
  4. 111.0 Million – Super Bowl XLV, FOX (Feb. 2011)
  5. 108.7 Million – Super Bowl XLVII, CBS (Feb. 2013)

Those ratings translate into huge money. This year 30-second commercials are going for about $5 million each.
