Suspended Boulders Force Closure of Palomares Road
BREAKING: The dangerous situation has officials warning drivers, pedestrians and bicyclists to heed road closure signs.
ALAMEDA COUNTY, CA - Palomares Road is closed to all traffic between Palo Verde Road in Castro Valley and Niles Canyon Road, Highway 84, in Fremont because of suspended boulders above the roadway.
The boulders are at mile marker 8.73.
The road will remain closed until further notice.

Residents may access their homes from either Palo Verde Road or Niles Canyon Road. However, they will not be able to pass mile marker 8.73 so it's important to go in and out the correct way.
