Vegetation Fire In Castro Valley Wednesday

Firefighters from multiple agencies battled the flames on Cull Canyon Road.

CASTRO VALLEY, CA — A small vegetation fire burned on Cull Canyon Road in Castro Valley Wednesday afternoon, the Alameda County Fire Department reports.

It burned a half acre, but was stopped before it could spread to nearby structures.

Joanna Leal, the Public Affairs Manager for Alameda County Fire Department told Patch that the swift response included "ACFD E25, 625, E606, E06, E607 & E07 responded with EBRP 5662, Diablo FC and Cal Fire 1684."

No injuries were reported.

The fire was reported shortly after 3 p.m. in the 10300 block of Cull Canyon Road.
