Castro Valley Murder-Suicide Victims ID'd

CASTRO VALLEY, CA — Two people who died in a murder-suicide in Castro Valley last week have been identified by the Alameda County Sheriff's Office. The murder victim was 44-year-old Lisa Deanne Carlson of Pleasanton. The man who allegedly killed her and then turned the gun on himself was 48-year-old Steven Michael Carlson of Pleasanton and Castro Valley.

The pair were found dead of gunshot wounds in a home in the 20500 block of Forest Avenue of Castro Valley last Wednesday morning. Their bodies were discovered after the sheriff's office received a call from a relative requesting a welfare check. The bodies were inside a detached guest house, according to sheriff's spokesman Ray Kelly.
