Where To Get Sandbags In Castro Valley

The County has stocked bags and sand in two locations. Bring your own shovel!

CASTRO VALLEY, CA —With several days of heavy rain in the forecast, the Alameda County has stocked free sandbags and sand at two Castro Valley locations.

If you think that you may need sandbags, get them as soon as possible.

Bring your own shovel, and it's best to have two people get the sandbags since it's easier to fill them if one person holds the bag while the other person shovels in the sand. Limit: 5.
