Woman Arrested on Suspicion of Killing Mother in Hayward
Woman suspected of killing her mother booked into Santa Rita Jail.

A woman was arrested in Hayward on suspicion of killing her mother
on Monday afternoon, according to police. BART police encountered the woman, identified as 31-year-old Dominique Zazueta, at the South Hayward station just before 2 p.m., according to Hayward police.
Zazueta had been arguing with her 14-year-old daughter over something that had happened at the daughter’s residence, where she lives with her grandmother and grandfather. Hayward police investigators responded to the 14-year-old’s home and found her grandmother, 66-year-old Linda Zazueta, dead inside.
Police arrested Dominique Zazueta on suspicion of homicide, though they have not said what caused her mother’s death.

She was booked into Santa Rita Jail without bail and is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday afternoon for arraignment, according to jail records.
