5 Things: Marchers and Movies
Patch's quick take on the essential things to know, the most interesting things to do and best places to be on Friday, July 26.

Here's a handful of things to keep in mind for today.
If you have an event you'd like us to consider for Five Things, be sure to add it to the events calendar. We check it often!
- A group of labor protestors is planning to march along Westwood Boulevard from LeConte Avenue to Wilshire, where some are allegedly planning to block the intersection at about 3 p.m. The group's actions could tie up traffic in all directions for some time.
- Westfield Century City offers a free screening of Brave tonight as part of its outdoor Movies Under the Stars series. The movie event will take place on the level two dining terrace and begins between 8:30 and 8:45 p.m.
- Weekend Weather is expected to cool, but only slightly, according to the National Weather Service. Today's high will 78 degrees, followed by 77 degrees on Saturday and 73 on Sunday.
- Get those teams together: registration for the fall adult basketball league at the Westwood Recreation Center begins Aug. 5. Find details in the recreation center brochure, which you can view online here.
- Westwood-Century City Patch is accepting for submissions for a new photo for its home page banner. Send submissions to editor Becca Whitnall at rebecca.whitnall@patch.com.
