The basement of a 35-story Century City office building flooded today when a pump malfunctioned and caused a tank to overflow, authorities said.
Firefighters responded to the building at 10250 Constellation Blvd. at 3:39 p.m., according to Katherine Main of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Two subterranean floors were flooded about two-feet deep, and an elevator shaft was inundated, Main said.
Firefighters shut down the water flow and were conducting de-watering and salvage operations, Main said.
