Carlos Santana Delivering Commencement To UCLA Music Grads
On June 19, the legendary guitarist will be delivering a virtual commencement to recent graduates of the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music.

While he is most recently known for his famous 1999 collaboration with Rob Thomas on the song
“Smooth”, Carlos Santana has been a prolific musician for six decades. The musician rose to fame during the 1960’s and 1970’s, pioneering an innovative blend of Rock and Roll and Latin American Jazz.
On June 19, the legendary guitarist will be delivering a virtual commencement to recent graduates of the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music. Due to UCLA’s location, the university has produced some of the greatest entertainers within the last century. The Herb Alpert School of Music is home to alumni Randy Newman, Carol Burnett, and many others. So, while these new grads may not be able to celebrate their accomplishments in person, such a gesture will surely be meaningful.
