Century City and Westwood's Cheapest Gas: May 28

Gas prices are down in the region.

Whether having to get gasoline after a long weekend of road trips or are just filling up the tank for the work week ahead, Westwood and Century City residents will face some good news at the pumps this week. Gas prices are down.

The lowest price for a gallon of regular-grade gas in our area, according to the AOL Autos website, is $3.95. Find it at the United Oil station at 9815 National Blvd.

Find prices for other grades of gas or out-of-town stations on the GasBuddy site.

In the greater Los Angeles area, the average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gas dropped Monday for the tenth time in 11 days, decreasing four-tenths of a cent to $4.055.

The average price has fallen 4 cents over the past 11 days and is 3.3 cents less than one week ago and 25 cents lower than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

However, it is 14 cents more than one month ago, thanks in part to a 13-day streak of increases immediately before the streak of falling prices began.
